Meaning and useful combinations

Termin is an arranged date or appointment. It is not a translation of the English word term in every context.

Useful combinations: einen Termin vereinbaren; einen Termin verschieben; der Gesprächstermin. Practise each as a complete phrase; the article belongs to the noun even when an adjective comes between them.

Article check: nominative singular

  • die Termin der Termin

This check asks for the nominative singular: der Termin. In the meaning taught here, Termin is masculine. The nominative plural is die Termine. Learn both forms together; an English translation does not determine German gender.
