The idea

Read one request below, cover the reply and answer aloud. Record yourself only if you want to compare attempts. On the next attempt, ask your partner to change the time or object so you must adapt rather than repeat.

Check the model sentence

• Könnten Sie bitte langsamer gesprochen? → Könnten Sie bitte langsamer sprechen?

  The modal könnten requires the infinitive sprechen, not the participle gesprochen.

Using this beside glotworld

Watch out

A device voice or game answer cannot judge whether your own pronunciation is understandable. Use listener feedback for that question and separate it from the correctness of your written sentence.

   The reply signals that you need thinking time; equivalent polite wording is possible.

   The last example supplies a sentence pattern, not a single compulsory answer. Change a detail that fits the situation and keep the verb, case and meaning consistent.

Use it today

Repeat the sequence with a fresh situation. Rehearsing a reply prepares wording before a real conversation. Choose a situation and say a short response without reading it. Then ask another person whether the intended message was clear. Producing a memorized line alone does not test spontaneous interaction. Keep one first attempt and one correction so you can compare what you produced before seeing a model.
