The idea
Zusammenfassen is separable: “Ich fasse … zusammen”; the noun is die Zusammenfassung. Deadlines use bis: bis mittags, bis 12 Uhr. A change in time is expressed with später or verschoben: “findet eine Stunde später statt”, “wurde um eine Stunde verschoben”. “Richtig übernommen” means taken over correctly. Summarising back, sometimes called closing the loop, is a common way in many teams to avoid misunderstandings at shift change.
Other ways to say it
“Darf ich kurz wiederholen, was ich mitgenommen habe?” – Polite and modest; mitnehmen means to take away from a talk.
“Habe ich das richtig verstanden, dass …?” – Neutral check of one point, followed by a dass-clause.
“Also kurz zusammengefasst: Rückruf bis mittags, Besprechung eine Stunde später.” – Casual spoken summary in note style.
Examples
- Ich fasse die organisatorischen Punkte kurz zusammen.I will briefly summarize the organizational points.
- Nennen Sie zuerst den noch offenen Rückruf.State the outstanding callback first.
- Die Koordination erwartet bis mittags eine Bestätigung.Coordination expects confirmation by noon.
- Und welcher Termin wurde verschoben? And which appointment was moved?
- Die Teambesprechung findet eine Stunde später statt. The team meeting will take place an hour later.
- Genau, damit sind diese beiden Angaben richtig übernommen.Exactly; those two details have been recorded correctly.

Watch out
“Ich zusammenfasse die Punkte kurz.” → “Ich fasse die Punkte kurz zusammen.”: Zusammenfassen is separable. In a main clause the stem fasse takes the verb slot and the prefix zusammen goes to the end. Learners treat it like the inseparable English “summarise”.

Translate into German: I will briefly summarize the organizational points.
Show answer or example answer
Ich fasse die organisatorischen Punkte kurz zusammen.
“Fasse … zusammen” is the split form. “Kurz” softens the announcement, and “die organisatorischen Punkte” limits the summary to organisational matters.
Put the words in order: Bestätigung / bis / Die / eine / erwartet / Koordination / mittags
Show answer or example answer
Die Koordination erwartet bis mittags eine Bestätigung.
“Bis mittags” is a deadline: no later than midday. “Eine Bestätigung” is the accusative object of erwarten; the subject, die Koordination, is a role.
Write this sentence in German: Exactly; those two details have been recorded correctly.

Genau, damit sind diese beiden Angaben richtig übernommen.
“Genau” confirms. “Damit” means “with that”; “sind … übernommen” is a state passive saying the two details are now correctly taken over.
