The idea
Impact language: verhindern (to prevent), blockieren (to block), betroffen sein (to be affected). Verhindern takes a direct object, often a noun of action: den Versand, die Anmeldung. Der Vorgang is a case or transaction in a system. Die Ausweichmöglichkeit or der Workaround is a temporary alternative. Zurzeit (at the moment) is written as one word. Wirkung, Umfang und Stand are the three facts many support teams use to set priority.
Other ways to say it
“Wegen des Fehlers können wir heute keine Bestätigungen verschicken.” – Neutral; names the consequence from the team’s view.
“Betroffen sind bisher acht Vorgänge.” – Fronted participle stresses the scope.
“Das blockiert unseren Tagesabschluss.” – Short and direct; good in a chat to support.

Watch out
“Der Fehler verhindert, dass die Bestätigungen nicht versendet werden.” → “Der Fehler verhindert, dass die Bestätigungen versendet werden.”: Verhindern already contains the negative meaning. Adding nicht in the dass-clause creates a double negative and says the opposite: that the error stops the confirmations from not being sent.
