The idea

Choose the first sentence and replace the destination. Say exactly what changed. Next put the time phrase first and check the verb's second position. Only after that change the subject from ich to wir and adjust the verb.

A concrete practice sequence

Choose the first sentence and replace the destination. Say exactly what changed. Next put the time phrase first and check the verb's second position. Only after that change the subject from ich to wir and adjust the verb.

Check the model sentence

  • Morgen ich fahre zum Museum. Morgen fahre ich zum Museum.

Morgen occupies the first position; the finite verb fahre follows before ich.

Watch out

One changed idea can require several changed words. A replacement noun may have another gender, and a plural subject needs a plural verb; preserve meaning rather than mechanically replacing letters.

Try it yourself

  1. Beginne mit „Am Samstag“: „Ich gehe am Samstag ins Museum.“

    Show answer or example answer

Am Samstag gehe ich ins Museum.

The time phrase moves to the front and the finite verb remains in second position.

  2. Ändere „ich“ zu „wir“: „Ich fahre nach Bremen.“

    Show answer or example answer

    Wir fahren nach Bremen.

The plural subject wir requires fahren rather than fahre.

  3. Schreibe eine neue Variante des letzten Beispiels. Ändere eine konkrete Information und behalte den Satzbau bei.

    Show answer or example answer

Muster zum Variieren: Nach dem Frühstück fahren wir zur Ausstellung.

The last example supplies a sentence pattern, not a single compulsory answer. Change a detail that fits the situation and keep the verb, case and meaning consistent.

Use it today

Repeat the sequence with a fresh situation. A one-change drill tests whether you can keep a German sentence stable while changing a meaningful detail. Start with one variable, such as time or destination. When the change affects case or agreement, revise those dependent forms too. Keep one first attempt and one correction so you can compare what you produced before seeing a model.
