The idea
Sitzen an plus dative describes where someone sits: an Tisch vier. With a table number no article is needed. Sollen asks what the plan intends. Stehen and nennen report what a document says: “Im neuen Plan steht sie …”, “Die gedruckte Karte nennt …”. Übereinstimmen (separable) means to match; the subject is plural, Plan und Karten. Aktualisieren means to update.
Other ways to say it
“Welcher Plan gilt jetzt für Frau Sommer?” – Neutral; asks which version is valid.
“Die Tischkarte von Frau Sommer muss neu gedruckt werden.” – Neutral; states the action needed.
“Wo sitzt Frau Sommer denn nun?” – Informal; denn nun shows mild confusion.
Examples
- Soll Frau Sommer an Tisch drei oder vier sitzen?Should Ms Sommer sit at table three or four?
- Im neuen Plan steht sie an Tisch vier. The new plan places her at table four.
- Die gedruckte Karte nennt noch Tisch drei. The printed card still says table three.
- Dann müssen wir die Karte aktualisieren. Then we need to update the card.
- Ich vergleiche danach alle geänderten Namen.I will then compare all changed names.
- So stimmen Plan und Karten wieder überein. That way the plan and cards match again.

Watch out
“Soll Frau Sommer an Tisch drei oder vier setzen?” → “Soll Frau Sommer an Tisch drei oder vier sitzen?”: Sitzen is the position (where?), setzen is the movement and needs an object: sich setzen or jemanden setzen. Learners mix the pair just like liegen and legen.
