The idea

Bestätigen takes the person in the dative (Ihnen) and the fact in the accusative. Nicht sicher limits the denial to certainty. “Suchen nach” takes the dative: nach der genauen Angabe. “Sich verlassen auf” plus accusative means to rely on. Einholen (separable) means to obtain information: “eine Auskunft einholen”. Die Fachabteilung is the specialist department.

Other ways to say it

“Da bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher, ich frage lieber nach.” – Neutral and honest; lieber means better to.

“Das müsste auf der Verpackung stehen, ich schaue nach.” – Neutral; Konjunktiv II müsste for a likely place.

“Das kann Ihnen meine Kollegin genauer sagen.” – Polite; refers to someone who knows.

Watch out

“Bitte verlassen Sie nicht auf meine Vermutung.” → “Bitte verlassen Sie sich nicht auf meine Vermutung.”: Without sich, verlassen means to leave a place or person. Only the reflexive “sich verlassen auf” means to rely on, so the pronoun cannot be dropped.
