The idea

“Etwas zu schätzen wissen” combines wissen with a zu-infinitive at the end; the thing appreciated is the accusative object. “Sehr” goes before “zu schätzen”. “Jemandem etwas erleichtern” (to make easier for someone) takes a dative person. “Sich freuen über + accusative” expresses pleasure at something received.

Other ways to say it

“Danke, dass du mir so geholfen hast.” – Casual and warm; good for friends and close colleagues.

“Deine Hilfe war mir eine große Unterstützung.” – Neutral; a little more formal, good in cards and emails.

“Ich bin Ihnen für Ihre Unterstützung sehr dankbar.” – Formal; suits a manager, teacher or official.

Watch out

“Ich weiß deine Unterstützung sehr schätzen.” → “Ich weiß deine Unterstützung sehr zu schätzen.”: Wissen is not a modal verb, so the infinitive needs zu: “zu schätzen wissen”. Learners drop zu because they treat wissen like können.
