The idea
Shift words are compounds with die Schicht, so they are feminine: eine gute Früh-, Spät- or Nachtschicht. Wünschen takes the dative person (dir, euch) and the accusative wish. The handover is die Übergabe; “die Übergabe übernehmen” means to receive it. “Ruhig laufen” describes a shift without incidents. Gleich means very soon. Ihr/euch addresses several colleagues you would each call du.
Other ways to say it
“Gute Schicht euch!” – Very short and casual; said on the way out.
“Ich wünsche Ihnen einen ruhigen Nachtdienst.” – Formal; for a colleague you address with Sie, for example in a hospital.
“Viel Kraft für die Nachtschicht!” – Casual and sympathetic; for a long or demanding shift.
Examples
- Ich wünsche dir eine gute Spätschicht.I hope you have a good late shift.
- Danke, ich übernehme gleich die Übergabe. Thanks; I am about to take over the handover.
- Hoffentlich läuft der Abend für euch ruhig.Hopefully the evening goes smoothly for you.
- Wir schauen zuerst auf die offenen Aufgaben. We will first look at the outstanding tasks.
- Dann wünsche ich euch einen guten Start. Then I wish you a good start.

Watch out
“Ich wünsche dir einen guten Spätschicht.” → “Ich wünsche dir eine gute Spätschicht.”: A compound takes the gender of its last part. Schicht is feminine, so Spätschicht is too, and the accusative is eine gute.
