The idea
“Im Voraus” (in advance) is in + dem, written with a capital V. The reason for thanks follows “für + accusative”. A softer, more formal option is the Konjunktiv II: “Für eine kurze Bestätigung wäre ich Ihnen dankbar.” In emails, the thanks usually comes just before the closing (“Mit freundlichen Grüßen”). “Helfen” takes a dative person: hilft mir.
Other ways to say it
“Ich danke Ihnen schon jetzt für Ihre Rückmeldung.” – Formal; a slightly warmer variant of im Voraus.
“Schon mal danke für die Bestätigung!” – Casual; fine with colleagues you say du to.
“Für eine kurze Bestätigung wäre ich Ihnen dankbar.” – Formal and soft; the Konjunktiv II turns thanks into a polite request.

Watch out
“Danke vorher für die kurze Bestätigung.” → “Vielen Dank im Voraus für die kurze Bestätigung.”: “Vorher” means before some event, as in “vorher anrufen”; it does not mean in advance in a thank-you. The fixed phrase is “im Voraus”.
