The idea
“Das war mein Fehler” is short and clear; “Da habe ich einen Fehler gemacht” is a softer variant. The explanation uses the perfect with haben and the adverb falsch before the participle: falsch übertragen, falsch eingetragen. Berichtigen and korrigieren both mean to correct; berichtigen is slightly more formal. “Kennzeichnen” means to mark something so others see it. “Vorliegen” means to be available: das Original liegt mir vor.
Other ways to say it
“Da habe ich mich vertan, sorry.” – Casual; sich vertun means to make a small slip.
“Der Fehler liegt bei mir.” – Neutral to formal; clearly accepts responsibility, also in emails.
“Ich habe mich bei der Zahl verschrieben.” – Neutral; sich verschreiben means to make a writing or typing error.

Watch out
“Ich habe einen Fehler getan.” → “Ich habe einen Fehler gemacht.”: German collocates Fehler with machen, not tun. “Einen Fehler tun” is a literal mix of English “do” and sounds wrong.
