The idea
Besprechen takes a direct accusative object: “die Angaben besprechen”; sprechen needs über. Comparatives like leiser (from leise) soften a request because they ask for a little change. “Es geht um …” + accusative introduces the topic. Mithören (to overhear) is separable. Die Angaben means the details or information you have given, common on forms.
Other ways to say it
“Könnten wir das vielleicht etwas abseits klären?” – Polite; abseits means away from others.
“Ich schreibe Ihnen die neue Adresse lieber auf.” – Practical alternative to saying it aloud.
Examples
- Können wir die persönlichen Angaben etwas leiser besprechen? Can we discuss the personal details a little more quietly?
- Möchten Sie dafür kurz hierherkommen?Would you like to come over here briefly for that?
- Ja, hier hören weniger Menschen mit.Yes, fewer people can overhear here.
- Welche Angabe möchten Sie klären?Which detail would you like to clarify?
- Es geht um meine hinterlegte Adresse. It concerns the address you have on record.
- Dann sehen wir uns nur diese Angabe an.Then let us look only at that information.

Watch out
“Können wir über die persönlichen Angaben besprechen?” → “Können wir die persönlichen Angaben besprechen?”: Besprechen already contains the idea of “about” and takes a direct object. Use über only with sprechen: „über die Angaben sprechen“.

Translate into German: Can we discuss the personal details a little more quietly?
Show answer or example answer
Können wir die persönlichen Angaben etwas leiser besprechen?
“Können wir” suggests a shared action; “die persönlichen Angaben” is the direct object, and “etwas leiser” softens the request.
Put the words in order: hier / hören / Ja / Menschen / mit / weniger
Show answer or example answer
Ja, hier hören weniger Menschen mit.
“Hier” comes first, so the verb “hören” follows; mithören splits and “mit” goes last, and “weniger Menschen” is the subject.
Write this sentence in German: Then let us look only at that information.
Show answer or example answer
Dann sehen wir uns nur diese Angabe an.
“Sich etwas ansehen” is reflexive with a dative uns; “nur diese Angabe” limits the conversation to one point.
