The idea
Ausleihen can mean both to borrow (sich etwas ausleihen) and to lend (jemandem etwas ausleihen); context decides. Für + accusative gives the period: für die erste Stunde. Angeben means to state information such as a size. Die Kursleitung is the course leader, a gender-neutral noun often used in Germany. Clubs and courses usually use Sie with new members at first, though many switch to du quickly.
Other ways to say it
“Gibt es bei Ihnen Leihhelme?” – Short neutral question; Leih- marks things for lending.
“Muss ich für den Probetermin eigene Ausrüstung mitbringen?” – Neutral; asks whether you need your own gear for a trial session.

- Ich frage dann auch nach der Rückgabe. Then I will also ask about returning it.

Watch out
“Muss ich vorher eine Größe geben?” → “Muss ich vorher eine Größe angeben?”: Geben means to hand over an object. For stating information like a size, name or number, German uses angeben or nennen.
