The idea
Darf ich …? asks permission. “Zu sehen sein” means to be visible: sein + zu + infinitive. Darauf replaces auf dem Foto. Der Ausschnitt is the crop or section of an image. “Zur Ansicht” means for viewing or approval. “Dazu antworten” uses dazu to refer back to the question. Among friends, du forms are normal: zeigst du, ich schicke dir.
Other ways to say it
“Ist es okay, wenn ich das Foto poste?” – Casual; posten is used for social media.
“Soll ich dich auf dem Bild unkenntlich machen?” – Offers to blur or hide someone; unkenntlich means unrecognisable.

Watch out
“Ich möchte auf dem Foto nicht sehen.” → “Ich möchte auf dem Foto nicht zu sehen sein.”: Without zu … sein the sentence means you do not want to look at something. To say you do not want to be visible, German uses zu sehen sein.
