The idea

Stattfinden is separable: “Mein Termin findet im Raum 3 statt.” Welch- takes the endings of der/dem: in welchem Raum (dative, location). Sich anmelden means to check in or register and needs the reflexive pronoun. “Am Innenhof” describes a room by its position. Losgehen (to start) is used informally for events: “wann es losgeht”, with the verb at the end of the wann-clause.

Other ways to say it

“Wo ist heute meine Behandlung?” – Short, neutral; Behandlung is the treatment session.

“Wo soll ich auf meine Therapeutin warten?” – Neutral question when you know the person, not the room.

Examples

  • In welchem Raum findet mein Termin statt? In which room will my appointment take place?
  • Heute ist es der Raum am Innenhof.Today it is the room by the courtyard.
  • Muss ich mich vorher noch anmelden?Do I need to check in beforehand?
  • Bitte melden Sie sich kurz vorne. Please check in briefly at the front.
  • Ich warte dann am genannten Raum. Then I will wait by the room mentioned.
  • Die Kollegin sagt Ihnen, wann es losgeht. The colleague will tell you when it starts.

Watch out

“In welchen Raum findet mein Termin statt?” → “In welchem Raum findet mein Termin statt?”: The appointment happens in a place, so in takes the dative: welchem. Welchen (accusative) would suggest movement into the room, as in „In welchen Raum soll ich gehen?“

Try it yourself

  1. Translate into German: In which room will my appointment take place?

    Show answer or example answer

In welchem Raum findet mein Termin statt?

“In welchem Raum” is dative for location; “findet … statt” frames the subject “mein Termin” with the separable prefix at the end.

  2. Put the words in order: anmelden / ich / mich / Muss / noch / vorher

    Show answer or example answer

Muss ich mich vorher noch anmelden?

“Muss ich mich … anmelden” combines a modal with a reflexive verb; “vorher noch” means first, before anything else.

  3. Write this sentence in German: The colleague will tell you when it starts.

    Show answer or example answer

Die Kollegin sagt Ihnen, wann es losgeht.

“Die Kollegin” is the subject; “wann es losgeht” is an indirect question with losgeht at the end.
