The idea

Bekommen means to get or receive, never to become (that is werden). Zu + dative contracts: zu der → zur, zu dem → zum. Mitsenden (to send along) is separable: Senden Sie die zweite Seite mit. Dazugehören (to belong to it, be part of it) is also separable: Die Anhänge gehören dazu. Die Fassung means version of a text.

Other ways to say it

“Wir haben den Elternbrief leider verlegt.” – Explains the reason; verlegen means to misplace.

“Könnten Sie uns den Brief noch einmal per E-Mail schicken?” – Asks for a digital copy, often quickest.

Watch out

“Die Information zu die Klassenfahrt nächste Woche.” → “Die Information zur Klassenfahrt nächste Woche.”: Zu always takes the dative, so die Klassenfahrt becomes der Klassenfahrt, and zu der normally contracts to zur.

Die Information zur Klassenfahrt nächste Woche.

A short answer without a verb, natural in conversation. Zur is zu der, dative, and nächste Woche is an accusative time phrase.

  3. Write this sentence in German: Yes, all the attachments are part of it.

Ja, die Anhänge gehören vollständig dazu.
