The idea
Verbs of movement or change, including durchgehen in the sense of going through, form the perfect with sein: “Die Zahlung ist durchgegangen.” “Warten, bis …” sends the verb to the end: “bis die Anzeige wechselt”. “Versehentlich” means by mistake. A genitive often links two nouns: “der Status der ersten Zahlung”. At German tills, card terminals often ask you to insert or hold the card and wait for a confirmation such as Zahlung erfolgt.
Other ways to say it
“Hat das mit der Karte geklappt?” – Casual everyday question; klappen means to work out.
“Können Sie bitte prüfen, ob die erste Zahlung abgebucht wurde?” – Formal and precise; useful if you fear a double charge.
Examples
- Ist die Zahlung schon durchgegangen?Has the payment already gone through?
- Das Gerät zeigt noch eine Meldung. The device is still showing a message.
- Soll ich die Karte schon entfernen?Should I remove the card yet?
- Warten Sie bitte, bis die Anzeige wechselt. Please wait until the display changes.
- Ich möchte nicht versehentlich zweimal zahlen.I do not want to pay twice accidentally.
- Wir prüfen erst den Status der ersten Zahlung. We will check the status of the first payment first.

Watch out
“Hat die Zahlung schon durchgegangen?” → “Ist die Zahlung schon durchgegangen?”: Gehen and its compounds like durchgehen describe movement and take sein in the perfect, not haben.

Translate into German: Has the payment already gone through?
Show answer or example answer
Ist die Zahlung schon durchgegangen?
The auxiliary “Ist” opens the yes/no question, and the participle “durchgegangen” closes it; “schon” asks whether it already happened.
Put the words in order: die / entfernen / ich / Karte / schon / Soll
Show answer or example answer
Soll ich die Karte schon entfernen?
“Soll ich” asks what is expected; “die Karte” is accusative, and “schon entfernen” asks if it is time yet.
Write this sentence in German: We will check the status of the first payment first.
Show answer or example answer
