The idea
Touchscreen verbs take prepositions: “auf etwas tippen” (tap on something), “zu etwas führen”, “zur Auswahl zurückkommen”. Zurückkommen is separable, so the prefix goes to the end: “Hier kommen Sie zur Auswahl zurück.” Tarifgebiet or Zone is the fare area; local transport in many German regions charges by zone, so the machine may ask for your destination or zone. “Vor dem Bezahlen” uses a nominalised infinitive after vor, in the dative.
Other ways to say it
“Wo finde ich hier die Tageskarte?” – Simple and neutral; fine for asking anyone nearby.
“Können Sie mir kurz mit dem Automaten helfen?” – A polite general request when the whole screen is confusing.
Examples
- Welche Taste führt zur Tageskarte?Which button leads to the day ticket?
- Tippen Sie zuerst auf weitere Angebote.First tap on more offers.
- Jetzt sehe ich mehrere Tarifgebiete. Now I can see several fare zones.
- Für Ihr Ziel müssen Sie das Gebiet prüfen. You need to check the zone for your destination.
- Kann ich vor dem Bezahlen noch zurück?Can I still go back before paying?
- Ja, hier kommen Sie zur Auswahl zurück.Yes, this takes you back to the selection.

Watch out
“Tippen Sie zuerst weitere Angebote.” → “Tippen Sie zuerst auf weitere Angebote.”: In the sense of tapping a screen, tippen needs auf plus accusative. Without auf, the verb sounds like typing text.

Show answer or example answer
Welche Taste führt zur Tageskarte?
“Welche” is the question word and agrees with feminine “Taste”; “führt zur” is zu + der, dative, because zu always takes the dative.
Put the words in order: ich / Jetzt / mehrere / sehe / Tarifgebiete
Show answer or example answer
Jetzt sehe ich mehrere Tarifgebiete.
“Jetzt” opens the sentence, so the verb “sehe” comes second and “ich” moves behind it.
Write this sentence in German: Yes, this takes you back to the selection.
Show answer or example answer
Ja, hier kommen Sie zur Auswahl zurück.
“Hier” opens the sentence, “kommen” is in second position and its separable prefix “zurück” closes the clause.
