Write a specific short motivation statement in German

The idea

Avoid empty phrases like “Hiermit bewerbe ich mich mit großem Interesse” on their own; name what interests you. Interessieren can take the thing as subject and the person as accusative object: “Mich interessiert die Verbindung …”. Use the Perfekt with häufig for proven habits, and a wenn-clause for what motivates you. Refer to the job ad (Ihre Aufgabenbeschreibung) to show you read it. End with a forward-looking sentence about the interview.

Other ways to say it

“Mich reizt an der Stelle besonders die Arbeit mit unterschiedlichen Menschen.” – Neutral; reizen means to appeal to and sounds natural.

“Ihre Stellenanzeige hat mich angesprochen, weil Planung und Beratung zusammenkommen.” – Slightly personal; jemanden ansprechen means to appeal to someone.

Watch out

“An Ihrer Aufgabe interessiere ich die Verbindung von Planung und Kontakt.” → “An Ihrer Aufgabe interessiert mich die Verbindung von Planung und Kontakt.”: In this pattern the thing that interests you is the subject, so the verb agrees with it (interessiert) and you appear as the accusative mich.
