週間 measures a duration in weeks.
The idea
Put a number before 週間: 一週間 is いっしゅうかん, 二週間 is にしゅうかん and 八週間 is はっしゅうかん. Ask 何週間（なんしゅうかん）. A duration can stand before the verb, as in 一週間滞在しました.

- 日本に一週間滞在しました。I stayed in Japan for one week.
- このコースは二週間です。This course lasts two weeks.
- 三週間毎日練習しました。I practised every day for three weeks.
- 試験まであと四週間あります。There are four weeks left until the exam.
- 八週間運動を続けました。I kept exercising for eight weeks.
- 何週間ここにいますか。How many weeks will you be here?

Watch out
一週間 is a duration of one week; 今週 means this week on the calendar. They answer different questions.
