Use these examples to try the method, then adapt it to your own study.

The idea

Try a flexible ten-minute session: two minutes recalling old words without looking, three reading a short text, three listening or reading aloud, and two writing one useful sentence and checking it. Use a device voice only if it is available. Mark one difficulty to revisit tomorrow; change the timings when a step needs more attention.

Examples

I study for just ten minutes every day.
First, I recall yesterday’s words.
Next, I read a short sentence.
I read that sentence aloud.
Finally, I write one sentence.
I will practise at the same time tomorrow too.

Read-aloud uses a synthetic Japanese voice available on your device. Voice quality and availability vary; it does not assess your pronunciation.

Watch out

Ten minutes is a starting point, not a promise of fluency. Do not sacrifice checking or rest to keep a streak.
