The idea
Withdraw, reason, request, thanks, cancellation, good wishes. Zurückziehen is the correct verb; you do not need to explain your reasons in detail, and a neutral line such as “Meine berufliche Planung hat sich inzwischen verändert” is enough. The Sie imperative with nicht mehr makes the request clear. Mention a booked interview explicitly so nobody waits for you. Write promptly after you decide, which many recruiters appreciate.

Watch out
“Ich möchte meine Bewerbung für die Stelle stornieren.” → “Ich möchte meine Bewerbung für die Stelle zurückziehen.”: Stornieren is used for orders, bookings or payments. An application is withdrawn: man zieht eine Bewerbung zurück. Absagen fits an interview appointment, not the application itself.
