The idea
A handover note is short and practical: where things are, where instructions are, how to ask, when you return, thanks. Location verbs matter: papers “liegen” (lie flat) on the table, information “steht” (is written) in a notebook. The du imperative “frag nach” invites questions. “Sollte sich etwas ändern, …” is a conditional without wenn: the verb comes first. Write times in words or digits, but be consistent.
Other ways to say it
“Die Notfallnummern hängen am Kühlschrank.” – Neutral; “hängen” for things pinned up.
“Ruf mich jederzeit an, wenn etwas unklar ist.” – Casual and reassuring for a sitter you know well.
Read the text
Für den heutigen Abend liegen die wichtigen Kontaktdaten auf dem Tisch.
Die vereinbarten Informationen zum Ablauf stehen im blauen Heft.
Bitte frag nach, wenn eine Notiz nicht eindeutig ist.
Meine Rückkehr plane ich für ungefähr einundzwanzig Uhr.
Sollte sich etwas ändern, melde ich mich direkt bei dir.
Danke, dass du die Betreuung heute übernimmst.

Watch out
“Die Informationen liegen im blauen Heft.” → “Die Informationen stehen im blauen Heft.”: Written text “steht” in a notebook, letter or list. “Liegen” is for the notebook itself lying somewhere.

Translate into German: For this evening, the important contact details are on the table.
Show answer or example answer
Für den heutigen Abend liegen die wichtigen Kontaktdaten auf dem Tisch.
“Für den heutigen Abend” fills first place, so “liegen” comes second and the subject follows. “Auf dem Tisch” is dative because it describes location.
Put the words in order: Bitte / eindeutig / eine / frag / ist / nach / nicht / Notiz / wenn
Show answer or example answer
Bitte frag nach, wenn eine Notiz nicht eindeutig ist.
“Frag nach” is the du imperative of nachfragen with the prefix at the end of the main clause; the wenn-clause puts “ist” last.
Write this sentence in German: Thank you for looking after the child today.
Show answer or example answer
Danke, dass du die Betreuung heute übernimmst.
“Danke, dass …” frames the thanks. In the dass-clause, the separable verb “übernimmst” stays joined and goes last.
