The idea
Write formally with Sie and a Betreff such as “Absage Informationsveranstaltung am Freitag”. State the cancellation first; a reason is optional. Ask for action with the Sie imperative: “Bitte nehmen Sie meinen Namen aus der Liste.” Put “Einen Ersatztermin” first to stress what you do not want. “Den Eingang bestätigen” is a fixed formal phrase for confirming receipt. End with “Vielen Dank für die Berücksichtigung”.
Other ways to say it
“Hiermit sage ich meine Teilnahme am Freitag ab.” – Formal and clear; “hiermit” marks an official statement.
“Leider muss ich mich von der Veranstaltung abmelden.” – Neutral; “sich abmelden” means to deregister.

Watch out
“Keinen Ersatztermin möchte ich derzeit nicht vereinbaren.” → “Einen Ersatztermin möchte ich derzeit nicht vereinbaren.”: Standard German allows only one negation per statement. With keinen and nicht together the sentence becomes confusing; use either einen … nicht or keinen alone.
