Request an update to a customer contact email in German

The idea

Put the purpose in front (“Für künftige Nachrichten”), then the action with a modal verb. Asking for the procedure (“den vorgesehenen Ablauf”) is wise because many companies only change contact data through the customer account or after an identity check. Write from the address you want to keep or from the account, give your customer number, and never send passwords. Limit the change explicitly (“Meine übrigen Kontaktdaten sollen unverändert bleiben”) to avoid accidental edits.

Other ways to say it

“Bitte ändern Sie meine hinterlegte E-Mail-Adresse auf die neue Adresse unten.” – Direct instruction; hinterlegt is the usual word for stored contact data.

“Wie kann ich meine Kontaktadresse in Ihrem System ändern?” – Neutral question when you are unsure whether you must do it yourself.

Watch out

“Nach erfolgreiche Aktualisierung bitte ich um Bestätigung.” → “Nach erfolgreicher Aktualisierung bitte ich um Bestätigung.”: Nach takes the dative. Without an article, the adjective must show the case itself, so dative feminine needs the strong ending -er: “erfolgreicher Aktualisierung”.

   “So” at the start means “in this way” and links to the confirmation. It is fronted, so “kann” comes second; the ob-clause ends with the separable verb “ankommen” in one piece.
