The idea

A reminder to customer service stays polite and uses Sie. “Ich beziehe mich auf …” (sich beziehen auf + accusative) is the standard formal way to refer to earlier contact. Put “Offen” first for emphasis: “Offen ist noch …”. Acknowledge what you have (“habe ich bereits erhalten”) so the reader does not repeat it. “Nur” in the request narrows it to one point. A falls-clause offers to resend without blaming anyone for a lost message.

Other ways to say it

“Leider ist eine meiner Fragen noch unbeantwortet geblieben.” – Polite and neutral reminder of the open point.

“Könnten Sie mir noch sagen, wo genau die Abholung stattfindet?” – Polite Konjunktiv II; asks only the open point.

Watch out

“Ich beziehe mich zu meiner Nachricht vom vergangenen Freitag.” → “Ich beziehe mich auf meine Nachricht vom vergangenen Freitag.”: Sich beziehen always takes auf + accusative. English “with reference to” misleads learners into using zu.

Try it yourself

  1. Translate into German: I refer to my message from last Friday.

Ich beziehe mich auf meine Nachricht vom vergangenen Freitag.

“Sich beziehen auf” takes the accusative, so “meine Nachricht”. “Vom vergangenen Freitag” dates it with von + dem.

  2. Put the words in order: Abholzeit / bereits / Die / erhalten / habe / ich / Information / zur

    Show answer or example answer

Die Information zur Abholzeit habe ich bereits erhalten.

The object “Die Information zur Abholzeit” comes first to contrast with the open question; “habe … erhalten” is the perfect.

  3. Write this sentence in German: Thank you for the brief addition.

Vielen Dank für die kurze Ergänzung.

A short noun-only thanks: “Vielen Dank für die kurze Ergänzung”. “Kurz” signals that only a small addition is needed.
