The idea

Write formally with Sie and name the offer by date or number. “Ich komme auf Ihr Angebot … zurück” (zurückkommen auf: to come back to) is a polite formal opener. “Die dort angegebene Bindefrist” uses an extended participle before the noun. Ask a yes/no question indirectly with “ob”, and add an alternative with “Falls nicht, …”. “Konditionen” and “Bedingungen” both mean terms. “Etwas auf etwas stützen” means to base a decision on it.

Other ways to say it

“Gilt Ihr Angebot vom 3. März noch?” – Neutral and short; names the offer by date.

“Könnten Sie mir ein aktualisiertes Angebot zusenden?” – Polite Konjunktiv II; skips the validity question.

Watch out

“Ich komme zurück zu Ihrem Angebot vom Monatsanfang.” → “Ich komme auf Ihr Angebot vom Monatsanfang zurück.”: The German verb is zurückkommen auf + accusative, and the prefix zurück goes to the end. “Zurück zu” copies English “come back to”.

Try it yourself

  1. Translate into German: I am returning to your quotation from the start of the month.

    Show answer or example answer

Ich komme auf Ihr Angebot vom Monatsanfang zurück.

“Zurückkommen auf” takes the accusative: “auf Ihr Angebot”. “Vom Monatsanfang” (von + dem) dates the offer; “zurück” ends the sentence.

  2. Put the words in order: Bedingungen / bestätigen / Bitte / die / gelten / genannten / noch / ob / Sie

    Show answer or example answer

Bitte bestätigen Sie, ob die genannten Bedingungen noch gelten.

“Bitte bestätigen Sie” is the polite imperative; in the ob-clause “gelten” ends the clause. “Die genannten Bedingungen” are the terms mentioned.

  3. Write this sentence in German: Until your response, I will not assume unchanged terms.

    Show answer or example answer

Bis zu Ihrer Rückmeldung gehe ich nicht von unveränderten Konditionen aus.

“Bis zu Ihrer Rückmeldung” (until your reply) comes first; “ausgehen von” is separable: “gehe … aus”, with von + dative.
