Correct a factual detail in an internal update in German

The idea

A correction has five moves: error, right value, cause, unchanged parts, instruction. Put the correct value first with “Richtig sind … statt …”, which contrasts new and old in one line. A brief cause (“bei meiner ersten Zählung noch nicht berücksichtigt”) builds trust without long apologies. Saying what stays the same (“bleiben unverändert”) prevents unnecessary rework. Entsprechend (accordingly) shows the shared file is fixed. Finish with an imperative so readers know what to do.

Other ways to say it

“Kleine Korrektur zu meinem Bericht von gestern: Es sind neun offene Fälle, nicht sieben.” – Friendly and compact; good as a chat message or subject line.

“Leider hat sich in meinem gestrigen Bericht ein Zahlenfehler eingeschlichen.” – Neutral; sich einschleichen means a mistake crept in.

Watch out

“Richtig ist neun offene Fälle statt sieben.” → “Richtig sind neun offene Fälle statt sieben.”: The subject is “neun offene Fälle”, which is plural, so the verb must be sind. Because richtig stands first, learners mistake it for the subject and use the singular.

   “Verwendet” is the ihr imperative of verwenden. “Für weitere Abstimmungen” sits before the object, so the new information “die neue Gesamtzahl” ends the sentence with emphasis.
