    einen

Answer: “einen”. This complement is accusative; choose its article or pronoun in that case.

  2. Du brauchst nicht ___ warten. (zu / um)

    Show answer or example answer

    zu

Zu fits the infinitive construction practised here: Du brauchst nicht zu warten. Um does not introduce this infinitive after brauchen.

  3. Wir haben viel Zeit ___. (brauchen)

    gebraucht

Answer: “gebraucht”. The auxiliary already carries the tense and person; the final verb needs its past participle.
