A grammar choice makes sense only in the whole sentence. Identify the relationship between the words before choosing.
The idea
For an action’s location use で; for the place where an object exists use に. A noun predicate can end in polite です. A time word such as 昨日 points to the past, often expressed with ました.
| Phrase | Continuation |
|---|---|
| 図書館で | 読みます |
| 机の上に | あります |
| 先生 | です |
| 昨日 | 食べました |
