Use iklim for climate: the conditions associated with a place over many years. You will describe a climate, compare climates and refer to the climate of a particular region.
The idea
The stem iklim stays intact, including its final m. Its last vowel is dotted i: iklimi, iklime, iklimler, iklimimiz. In bölgenin iklimi (the region’s climate), -i marks possession. Adding a case gives bölgenin iklimine or bölgenin iklimini, with n after the possessive. The plural iklimler refers to different climates, not successive days of weather.

Watch out
For today’s weather, say Bugün hava yağmurlu, not Bugün iklim yağmurlu. Also keep possession when you mean the region’s climate: bölgenin iklimine alışmak, not bölgenin iklime alışmak. The shorter iklime is correct when no possessive ending is needed.
