Willkommen zu unserer kurzen Stadtgeschichte. Heute geht es um die kleine Brücke am Mühlenweg. Viele glauben, sie sei für Autos gebaut worden. Tatsächlich transportierten Bauern darüber zunächst Getreide zur Mühle. Als die Mühle 1972 schloss, wurde die Brücke kaum noch genutzt. Zwanzig Jahre später wollte die Stadt sie abreißen. Eine Nachbarschaftsgruppe sammelte alte Fotos und zeigte, dass der Weg eine wichtige Verbindung zum Park war. Nach einer Prüfung wurde die Brücke repariert. Heute dürfen nur Menschen zu Fuß und mit dem Fahrrad darüber. Für die Pflege ist weiterhin die Stadt zuständig. Die Nachbarschaftsgruppe organisiert jedoch jedes Frühjahr einen gemeinsamen Reinigungstag. Nächste Woche erzählen wir, warum der Brunnen am Markt zweimal umgezogen ist.
