The idea
Put the first action in the て-form, then state the next action: 食べて、行きます. The て-form depends on the verb: 食べます becomes 食べて, while 行きます becomes 行って. The final verb carries the sentence’s tense: 行って、買いました describes a past sequence.
| Form | Example |
|---|---|
| 食べます | 食べて、行きます |
| 帰ります | 帰って、作ります |
| 行きます | 行って、買いました |
