Practise reading the whole question before choosing a reply. These are original A2 learning exercises, not questions from an official exam.

The idea

First decide what the speaker needs: a time, a place, a companion, or a response to an invitation or offer. Then check whether the reply supplies it. Ne zaman asks when; kiminle asks with whom. An invitation can be accepted or declined, and a reason can make the refusal clear without hayır.

Watch out

A shared word is not enough: Çay sıcak describes the tea but does not normally answer Çay ister misin? in this exercise. Also distinguish kiminle (with whom) from neyle (by what means); both answers can end in -le.

Try it yourself

    Show answer or example answer

    Evet, lütfen.

Evet, lütfen. accepts the offer politely. Saat üçte gives a time, while çay sıcak describes the drink without saying whether you want some.

Use it today

Copy one reply for each question. Then explain what each rejected reply actually tells you: time, place, person, transport or a description.
