You will choose emphasis by its purpose: what is surprising, what strengthens a claim, what the listener already knows, or what you infer. These forms are not interchangeable decorations.
The idea
Place bile after the phrase presented as unexpected: Dedem bile bu uygulamayı kullanıyor makes the grandfather surprising. Hatta introduces a stronger addition, sometimes together with bile. In conversation, ya can recall shared knowledge, as in Bugün salı ya; tone can also make it insistent. İşte draws attention to an answer, discovery or conclusion: İşte aradığımız sessiz köşe! The attached suffix -dir can present a general assertion (Düzenli tekrar yararlıdır) or an inference (Bu kutu herhalde boştur). Context decides; the suffix does not guarantee certainty. Its spelling variants belong to the suffix lesson.

Watch out
Moving bile changes its scope: Dedem bu uygulamayı bile kullanıyor makes the app, rather than the grandfather, unexpected. Do not replace it mechanically with hatta after the noun. Write ya, işte, bile and hatta separately; -dir attaches. Conversational ya may sound impatient and is not a neutral choice for formal prose.
Try it yourself
Choose bile or hatta: even my grandfather uses this app. The grandfather is unexpected.
Show answer or example answer
bile
bile: the surprising member of the group is the grandfather, so the particle follows Dedem. The app is not the contrast here.
Choose hatta or ya to strengthen “bright” to “a little too bright”.
Show answer or example answer
hatta
hatta: the second phrase goes beyond “bright” to “a little too bright”, strengthening the description instead of reminding the listener of known information.
Choose İşte or Bile: point out the quiet corner you have found.
Show answer or example answer
İşte
İşte: the speaker has found the quiet corner and presents it to the listener. There is no scale of unexpected alternatives here for bile.
In Bu kutu herhalde boştur, is the empty box a verified fact (kesin bilgi) or a supposition (tahmin)? Write the Turkish label.
Show answer or example answer
tahmin
tahmin: herhalde presents the empty box as a supposition. The ending of boştur does not turn that guess into something directly verified.
