Move from familiar N4 material toward the broader situations of N3 with a plan you can repeat.
The idea
Start with an N4 check and note gaps. Set a manageable weekly schedule: recall vocabulary on several days, read a short text, listen for its main point, and try a sample question. Record why an answer was wrong, then give the weakest skill extra time next week. N3 bridges basic Japanese and more everyday situations; adjust the amount to your available time.
Examples
- 昨日覚えた言葉を今日復習します。I review the words I learned yesterday today.
- 短い記事を読んで、知らない言葉を調べます。I read a short article and look up words I do not know.
- 一度聞いて、大事な内容を確かめます。I listen once and check the main point.
- 問題を間違えた理由を書きます。I write down why I got the question wrong.
- 来週はもっと聞く練習をします。Next week I will practise listening more.
- 試験の前に、例題を解きます。Before the test, I solve a sample question.
Read-aloud uses a synthetic Japanese voice available on your device. Voice quality and availability vary; it does not assess your pronunciation.
No Japanese device voice is available. You can still read the text and use the linked listening resources.
Watch out
A high score on isolated vocabulary does not guarantee that you can follow a passage or recording. Mix skills and revisit mistakes instead of simply adding new words.
