Read four holiday names on a Turkish calendar and say when each one falls. The first three examples describe imagined activities, not an announced event programme. This is a selection, not a complete public-holiday calendar.
The idea
Learn each date together with its full name in the table. In these names, çocuk means child, gençlik youth, zafer victory and cumhuriyet republic. A calendar label is 23 Nisan; a sentence can say 23 Nisan'da (on 23 April). Keep the capital on the month and put an apostrophe before the ending. Treat the longer holiday names as fixed expressions at this level.

Watch out
Do not confuse the children's holiday in April with the youth and sports holiday in May. When adding “on”, use 19 Mayıs'ta: the final s calls for t, not d. The date still means 19 May; the ending tells us when the activity happens.
