Use these polite questions to check a product label with a pharmacist.

The idea

どういう意味ですか asks what an expression means. いつ asks when, while 一日に何回 asks how many times per day. 食後 refers to after a meal.

Examples

  • すみません、この表示ひょうじはどういう意味いみですか。Excuse me, what does this label mean?
  • この薬くすりはいつ飲のみますか。When do I take this medicine?
  • 一日いちにちに何回なんかい使つかいますか。How many times a day do I use it?
  • 食後しょくごとは、食事しょくじの後あとですか。Does shokugo mean after a meal?
  • この成分せいぶんは入はいっていますか。Does it contain this ingredient?
  • 説明せつめいをもう一度いちどお願ねがいします。Please explain it once more.
