Choose a whole clause, not a connector. These original B1 exercises practise sentence completion; they are not official exam questions. The source links to official sample materials.
The idea
Before reading the options, predict the link: a reason needs a plausible result, a contrast needs something unexpected, and a condition needs a compatible outcome. Then check time, negation and the subject of each verb. In Ders bitince öğretmene bir soru soracağım, the question follows the end of the lesson. Two clauses can use different tenses when the meaning supports it.

Watch out
An option can be grammatically correct on its own and still fail here. After ama, repeating the same idea may miss the contrast. Do not silently add a new situation to make an option fit. Also, ben does not control every verb: after kardeşim, check the person ending again.
