A pair of connectors tells the reader how two possibilities relate. First decide whether you mean one option, both options or neither; then choose the pair.
The idea
Use entweder ... oder for alternatives, sowohl ... als auch for both, and weder ... noch for neither. Nicht nur ... sondern auch adds an emphasized second point.

Match the pieces before joining them
Start with two simple statements: Mira spricht Deutsch. Mira spricht Polnisch. Because subject and verb match, retain them once and join the language names: Mira spricht sowohl Deutsch als auch Polnisch. Do not join a noun on one side to an unrelated full clause on the other. In the last example, weder and noch each occupy the opening position, so fährt and kommt follow immediately; this is not a verb-final weil clause.

Watch out
Keep the connected pieces grammatically parallel. Weder ... noch already negates them, so do not add a routine extra nicht. Word order can change when a connector begins a full clause.
