A useful proposal names both options, gives a concrete reason for each and invites the other person to choose.
The idea
Use 一つ目 and 二つ目 to introduce the first and second options. なら sets a condition: オンラインなら means “if it is online”. 一方 signals a contrast; どちらがよろしいでしょうか politely asks for a choice between two.
Examples
There are two ways to proceed.
The first option is to hold the meeting online.
The second option is to meet in the conference room next week.
If we meet online, there is no need to travel.
On the other hand, in the conference room we can talk while looking at the materials.
Which would you prefer?

Watch out
Neither option is automatically preferred. Give comparable details and do not use どちら as if it asked when something will happen.
