Following the order of tasks

The idea

最初に marks the first step, 次に the next and 最後に the last. 〜した後で means after doing; 〜する前に means before doing.

• 最初さいしょに、書類しょるいを確認かくにんしてください。First, please check the documents.
• 次つぎに、コピーをしてください。Next, please make copies.
• コピーをした後あとで、封筒ふうとうに入いれてください。After making copies, please put them in envelopes.
• 最後さいごに、田中たなかさんに渡わたしてください。Finally, please give them to Tanaka.
• すみません、確認かくにんする前まえにコピーをしてください。Sorry, please make the copies before checking them.
• わかりました。最初さいしょにコピーをします。I understand. I will make copies first.

Watch out

The first instruction is corrected: copying comes before checking. Keep the later envelope and handover steps in place.
