A useful update tells colleagues what is done, what is happening now and what comes next.
The idea
Use 完了しました for completed work and ています for an action in progress. 遅れがあります states a delay; までに sets the latest time for a planned resolution.
Examples
I’ll give a brief project update.
The design is complete.
We are currently testing the system.
There is a delay in preparing the data.
We plan to resolve it by Friday.
Next week, we will share the results with the team.

Watch out
予定です expresses a plan, not a guarantee. Name the issue and deadline rather than implying that the delay is already resolved.
