If you can already discuss familiar experiences at B1, use this cycle to work towards B2. The Council of Europe’s scale provides the level reference; the schedule and checkpoints here are our practice suggestions, not a deadline for reaching the level.
The idea
Build each week around one question with two plausible answers, such as studying alone or in a group. Start with a short spoken position and a paragraph; save both. Try four 30-minute sessions: read two contrasting texts and note each claim and its support; listen to a discussion and check your notes against its transcript; discuss the question with a partner who raises an objection; write a position that weighs both options, then revise it. Use your own suitable audio; none is attached here. Reserve the last five minutes of each session to repair one problem that obscures meaning. At the end of the week, check: did you represent both views fairly, give a concrete example, answer the actual objection and organise your conclusion? Next week, use a new question with the same preparation time and help. Repeat the cycle and give the weakest skill an extra session.
Examples
- Bu hafta iki görüşü karşılaştıracağım.This week I will compare two viewpoints.
- Görüşümü bugün somut örneklerle destekleyeceğim.Today I will support my viewpoint with concrete examples.
- İtirazını önce kendi sözlerimle özetleyeceğim.First I will summarise your objection in my own words.
- Okuduğum yazıdaki önerinin hem yararlarını hem de sınırlılıklarını açıklayabilirim.I can explain both the benefits and the limitations of the proposal in the article I read.
- Bu çözüm daha ucuz olsa da herkese uygun olmayabilir.Even though this solution is cheaper, it may not suit everyone.
- Konuşurken zorlandığım noktaları belirleyip gelecek haftanın planını değiştireceğim.I will identify the points I struggle with when speaking and change next week’s plan.
Read-aloud uses a synthetic Turkish voice available on your device. Voice quality and availability vary; it does not assess your pronunciation.
No Turkish device voice is available. You can still read the text.
Watch out
A fluent prepared speech can hide difficulty in responding. Keep the prepared talk and the unplanned exchange as separate evidence. If you lose the thread when challenged, practise short objection-and-response exchanges before adding more vocabulary or longer texts.
Try it yourself
Two authors propose different solutions. To practise identifying their disagreement, choose kelime saymak (count words) or iki görüşü karşılaştırmak (compare two viewpoints).
Show answer or example answer
iki görüşü karşılaştırmak
iki görüşü karşılaştırmak makes the disagreement visible: record what each author proposes and why. A word count cannot show whether their reasons conflict.
Your paragraph says group work is useful but gives no concrete situation. What should you add: bir örnek (an example) or bir başlık (a title)?
Show answer or example answer
örnek / bir örnek
örnek or bir örnek supplies the missing concrete situation: for instance, one group member explains a difficult step to another. A title would only label the claim.
You can give a prepared talk but get stuck when a partner disagrees. Choose the next task: itiraza yanıt vermek (respond to an objection) or metni ezberlemek (memorise the text).
Show answer or example answer
itiraza yanıt vermek
itiraza yanıt vermek targets the moment where communication breaks down. Memorising the original talk does not require you to address your partner’s new point.
You want to compare two speaking samples. One was made with a full script. For a fair comparison, choose aynı yardım düzeyi (the same level of help) or daha uzun metin (a longer text).
Show answer or example answer
aynı yardım düzeyi
aynı yardım düzeyi keeps the comparison interpretable. A full script and a few notes provide different amounts of support; save a new pair under matching conditions.
Practice round
Answer questions, then rebuild Turkish sentences and words where available. We keep your score.

Choose a question, schedule four sessions and name what you will save from each. After the exchange, note one point you could not explain. Revise it, then try a new objection without a script. Adjust the times to your available week.
