Meet useful language for coordinating work in a modern Japanese workplace.

The idea

担当者 is the person responsible for a task; 上司 is a supervisor and 同僚 a colleague. 共有する means to share, 報告する to report, and 相談する to consult. The examples use polite です/ます forms; practices vary by workplace.

Watch out

A 同僚 is a colleague, not necessarily the person responsible. Titles and degree of formality depend on the relationship and situation.
