Use だけでなく to say that one fact is true and another is true as well.

The idea

Put だけでなく after a noun, a plain verb or an い-adjective; after a な-adjective use な: 静かなだけでなく. The added noun often takes も.

Watch out

だけ limits the statement to one thing; だけでなく introduces an additional fact. Do not put だ before it after a noun.
