The idea

泊 has eight strokes. 泊まる（とまる） means to stay overnight; 宿泊（しゅくはく） means lodging. 一泊（いっぱく） and 二泊（にはく） count nights, not days. 停泊（ていはく） describes a vessel moored or anchored.

Watch out

泊まる and 止まる are both read とまる, but the latter means to stop. A hotel stay uses 泊まる. Notice the small っ in いっぱく.
