A useful invitation names the topic, time and place before asking whether your colleague is available.

The idea

Use 会議かいぎに参加さんかしませんか to invite someone politely: に marks the meeting participated in, and the negative question offers an invitation. Ask ご都合つごうがいいですか to check availability.

Watch out

しませんか is an invitation, not a statement that the colleague will not participate. Give a clear time and place so they can decide.
