Compare a library and a café in a polite message to a friend.
The idea
Introduce both options, then use AはBより… to compare them on one point. 一方 introduces a contrasting point; ので gives your reason, and Aの方がいい states your preference. End by inviting the reader’s opinion.
Examples
We are considering the library and the café as meeting places.
The library is quieter than the café.
On the other hand, the café is closer to the station.
The café is convenient, but it may be noisy.
Because we want to talk quietly, I think the library is better.
Which do you think would be better?

Watch out
より marks the option used as the comparison, not the preferred one. A quiet library may restrict conversation, so check its rules before arranging a meeting.
