Write a short, polite message with a greeting and a clear next step.

The idea

Address the recipient with さん, greet them and ask お元気ですか if appropriate. Add one piece of news or a meeting proposal, then close with また連絡します or a thank-you. The examples use polite です and ます.

Watch out

A message to a close friend can be less formal, but avoid mixing plain and polite endings at random. Adjust names, times and the relationship to your situation.
